Additional Zach Bryan Info

Country Music Star Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan carries himself like someone who has experienced much in his life. The midsize singer wears a Carhartt T-shirt and worn-in Birkenstock Bostons during performances.

While still serving in the Navy, he began carving out a career for himself by uploading songs online and recording his debut set DeAnn before receiving an honorable discharge.

Music

Bryan began playing guitar at 14 and soon began writing songs. Soon thereafter he joined the Navy active duty service as an active duty member, but was later granted an honorable discharge in order to pursue music full time.

Beginning his YouTube music uploads in 2017, this YouTuber quickly gained recognition. By 2019, he had released his debut album DeAnn in memory of his late mother; written and recorded within just two months with friends at an Airbnb in Florida.

"Something in the Orange" became one of the most successful singles of 2023 and earned him two charts at once - making it one of the year's biggest hits! Additionally, Bryan received the CMT Artist of the Year award. Additionally, Bryan made an appearance in season five of Yellowstone to perform "Motorcycle Drive-By" and "Quittin Time."

In 2022, Bryan released his major label debut album American Heartbreak which debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 chart and earned almost 70,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week. Following its release came an extensive tour which captured some of its shows for All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks). Bryan is openly gay and not afraid to voice his opinions publicly - in April of 2023 he voiced support for transgender community members.

Albums

Zach Bryan has quickly established himself as one of country music's premier artists since releasing American Heartbreak. The Oklahoman unveiled his unique sound with this release, garnering fans' support in equal measure.

Since then, his success has continued to accelerate rapidly. That same year saw his debut at the Grand Ole Opry and signing to Warner Records; their resulting release, Elisabeth, earned accolades among red-dirt country enthusiasts.

Bryan will release a self-titled studio album this August 18 - coinciding with Turnpike Troubadours releasing their A Cat in the Rain release date. It follows Bryan's seminal work, which earned a spot on Consequence of Sound's list of 2022 best albums. LP features singles like "Holy Roller" and "Smaller Acts."

This album marks the first time Bryan produced all its tracks himself and recorded them at home; using an acoustic approach gives the project an intimate sound. Even so, an experienced listener will quickly notice Bryan's voice is rough and exhausted from touring; combined with lax production processes contributing to this soundscape.

However, this album remains significant for Bryan. With its raspy vocals and clever lyrics capturing people's hearts in stadium sing-alongs or tearjerkers like 'Sweet DeAnn,' his songs capture people's feelings that can often be hard to articulate.
