Punk band Green Day will kick off a tour of North America in September in support of their upcoming album, Revolution Radio, which will be released by Reprise Records on October 7. The band will play a series of club shows in the United States and Canada before embarking on the European leg of their tour.

Green Day recorded the album in Oakland, California and produced it themselves. It includes 12 tracks that explore a variety of modern themes in Green Day’s classic style.
This is the band’s 12th studio album.
The North American leg of the tour will start with a show on September 20 in St. Louis and will wrap up in Berkeley, California on October 20. They will begin the European part of the tour in January, with stops in Italy, Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
History of Green Day
Green Day was formed in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. Tre Cool has been the band’s drummer since 1990. Guitarist Jason White began touring with the band in 1999 and became an official member in 2012.
Green Day released their early albums with the independent label Lookout! Records. They released their first major label album, Dookie, with Reprise Records in 1994. It sold over 10 million copies and was a breakout success. They released three other successful albums, Insomniac, Nimrod, and Warning. Their rock opera, American Idiot, sold six million copies in the United States and made the band popular with a younger generation. Green Day released their eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, in 2009. It was followed by three albums in 2012.
Green Day has sold over 75 million albums around the world and has won five Grammy Awards. Their musical, American Idiot, won two Tony Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
